The International Arbitration Training Programme, jointly organised by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the Chengdu Lawyers Association, and the Chengdu Foreign-related Commercial and Legal Service Centre, concluded last week in Chengdu. The programme was supported by the Department of Justice (DoJ), the Hong Kong International Legal Talents Training Academy (HKILTTA), the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Chengdu (CDETO), and InvestHK.
Jacqueline Law from Des Voeux Chambers was invited to coach the moot arbitration teams, including 40 leading foreign-related lawyers and arbitration practitioners from Chengdu. In the two weeks leading up to the competition, she offered structured and detailed online coaching, followed by in-person sessions on the eve of the event. On the day of the moot, she provided professional and insightful commentary, drawing on both the teams’ performances and her extensive experience in international arbitration practice.
We extend our sincere thanks to the organisers for the kind invitation. We look forward to further opportunities for meaningful exchange and continued collaboration between the legal communities of Hong Kong and Mainland China, united in our commitment to strengthening cross-border legal services and the development of international arbitration.
