DVC is delighted to announce that Dr. Benny Lo has been appointed by the International Council of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS) as an Arbitrator on the general list of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Based in Lausanne, Switzerland, the CAS is an independent institution established to resolve sports-related disputes through arbitration and mediation. Founded in 1984, its rulings are final and binding, earning it the reputation as the “supreme court of world sport.”
Dr. Lo’s appointment reflects his ongoing contributions to the field, including his role since 2020 as an arbitrator for the Basketball Arbitration Tribunal (FIBA), where he has handled a range of disputes involving players, agents, clubs, and federations.
With a background in pharmaceutical and biotechnology research, Dr. Lo brings a scientific perspective to complex matters such as anti-doping. Alongside his advocacy in court and international arbitration, he regularly serves as arbitrator in commercial, investment treaty, and sports disputes.
