Des Voeux Chambers proudly hosted its flagship event—the DVC Annual International Arbitration Conference 2025—at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), as part of Hong Kong Arbitration Week. This milestone gathering reaffirmed our commitment to advancing international arbitration and strengthening global dispute resolution frameworks.
With over 160 distinguished guests and speakers from around the world, the conference was a vibrant forum for impactful dialogue and exchange.
🔹 The day began with Welcome Remarks from Winnie Tam SC, Co-Head of Des Voeux Chambers, emphasizing the importance of fostering global conversations in arbitration.
🔹 The Honourable James Allsop AC delivered a compelling Keynote Speech, offering deep insights into the evolving landscape of global dispute resolution and the legal complexities businesses face today.

🔹 The event featured a dynamic panel discussion on “Mastering the New Frontier: Risk and Disputes Management for Enterprises in Emerging Markets,” moderated by Adrian Lai. The panel included:
- Prof Anton Asoskov (Russia/Israel)
- Ms Diep Hoang (Vietnam)
- Ms Jing Li (UAE/China)
- Mr Jern-Fei Ng KC (England/Singapore/Malaysia)
Together, they explored real-world case studies and emerging legal developments, shedding light on how enterprises can navigate risk and structure deals in rapidly shifting markets.
