“Navigating Challenges in International Construction Disputes: The Hong Kong Advantage – Part 2” featured in the May issue of Hong Kong Lawyer

Having examined the challenges facing international construction projects and established Hong Kong’s foundational strengths as an arbitration center in Part 1, the second part turns to the specific mechanisms and advantages that make Hong Kong an exceptional venue for resolving international construction disputes.This part also explores strategic initiatives for enhancing Hong Kong’s competitive edge in international arbitration.  

This article summarizes the insights gathered from 14 highly experienced international arbitrators, lawyers and experts who participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by Des Voeux Chambers, Hong Kong on 22 October 2024 as part of Arbitration Week in Hong Kong and from subsequent written submissions provided by two of the speakers.
