Last Friday (24 March), HK45 hosted the Annual Update to discuss topical developments in arbitration practice over the past year. Jonathan Crompton, Partner of RPC-law firm kicked start the event with his opening remarks, followed by Victor Dawes SC from Temple Chambers. Sabrina Ho from Des Voeux Chambers joined the other panellists Yi-Shun Teoh, Of counsel of RPC, Yinsheng Qu, Deputy Counsel at HKIAC and Jacob Sin from eBRAM to share insights on notable cases on setting aside and enforcement of arbitral awards, the Hong Kong court’s stance towards arbitration and the recent updates to PRC arbitration laws. Jacky Fung from Kirkland & Ellis and Cecilia Choi from Linklaters moderated the session.
