DVC is pleased to announce that Tony Li SC will be joining Chambers, effective from 3 May 2024. Tony is a seasoned senior counsel who practises predominantly in criminal law and regulatory offenses.
Tony is instructed to defend cases ranging from white-collar and complex commercial frauds, insider dealing and market manipulation, bribery and corruption, money laundering, trade description offences, to departmental summonses (including Labour Department, Environmental Protection Department, EMSD, Lands Department, FEHD, AFCD etc.) as well as road traffic offences; and professional disciplinary hearings (including Medical Council, Chinese Medicine Council, IARB, HKICPA etc.)
Tony sat as Deputy Magistrate in 2018 and 2019; as Deputy District Judge in 2021; and as Deputy High Court Judge in 2024.
Tony has been recognized by Chambers & Partners Greater China Region Guide as a Band 1 Silk in White-Collar Crime: The Bar (2024). He is a Leading Silk under the category of Regulatory Investigations and Crime in Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2024), and a Leading Junior Counsel in Doyles’ Guide under the category of Criminal Law Barristers – Hong Kong in 2022 and 2021.
