Des Voeux Chambers was honoured to welcome a distinguished delegation from the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), led by Lucy Reed, President of the SIAC Court of Arbitration, and Gloria Lim, CEO of SIAC.
The delegation was keen to meet DVC barristers and independent neutrals to learn about the diverse range of talents active in international arbitration, and their strong presence in the global, and in particular, bilingual arbitration scene.
The delegation presented SIAC’s latest initiatives in introducing cheaper and faster procedures to meet different sectors of market demand, and the work of the SIAC Registry in managing a rising caseload. DVC members shared their insight on global disputes practice from the perspectives of arbitrators and counsel.
This meaningful dialogue reinforced the strong ties between the arbitration communities of Hong Kong and Singapore, and underscored a shared commitment to fostering closer collaboration and promoting excellence within the international arbitration community.
