DVC is proud to announce that its Head of Chambers Winnie Tam SC SBS JP has been appointed to chair the Communications Authority for a further term of two years. In the same week, the HKSAR Government has also appointed Ms Tam into the Chief Executive’s Council of Advisers for a term of two years. This followed her recent appointment to the top national political consultative body, the CPPCC, as a national delegate representing Hong Kong.
When asked how she plans to manage her dual practice as barrister and international arbitrator on top of her public service roles, Ms Tam says: “I am honoured and humbled to be given the opportunity to serve in multiple roles at these challenging times for both Hong Kong and China. It is important for me to be right on the pulse with the development of legal trends and the legal services market. I am determined to stay on top of my game as a professional as well as to serve the community. Dynamism and energy are what will be required to meet the multi-faceted challenges of modern days.”
