Bella joined Chambers upon completion of her pupillage with Mr Derek Chan SC, Mr Alexander Tang, Mr Jason Yu and Ms Sharon Yuen.
Bella is developing a broad civil practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.
Academically, Bella read Law at the University of Hong Kong, graduating with First Class Honours and a string of academic prizes and scholarships. She spent a year at the University of Oxford as a visiting student and later returned to read for the Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL), which she obtained with overall distinction, ranking 1st in the class in Incentivising Innovation.
Bella speaks native Mandarin and is fluent in English and Cantonese. She achieved top-ranking results in the National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao) in Zhejiang province. She is able to draft legal documents in Chinese and to conduct proceedings in Mandarin.
In addition to her legal practice, Bella has been appointed as a part-time lecturer (non-clinical) at the University of Hong Kong, where she teaches commercial law and company law.
