Isaac joins chambers upon pupillages with Mr. Tony Li SC, Mr. Alexander Tang, Mr. Jason Yu, and Mr. Lai Chun Ho. He is developing a broad civil and criminal defence practice.

Isaac graduated first in his year of 263 from the University of Cambridge (B.A. Law), winning the Winifred Georgina Holgate Pollard-Memorial Prize for the most outstanding results in law. He then obtained a BCL with Distinction from the University of Oxford, where he won the Magdalen College Prize and held the Hong Kong Jockey Club Graduate Scholarship.

Before law school, Isaac studied public policy and economics at Duke University (graduating with highest distinction) and spent summers at J.P. Morgan (Hong Kong) and the Securities and Futures Commission. 

Isaac is a Bar Scholar.

  • Polyline Development Limited (寶富來發展有限公司) (in liquidation) v. Ching Lin Chuen (程練傳) and 17 Others (HCA 2319/2019) – resist Charging Order (as sole counsel)
  • Securities and Futures Commission v. Lo Kai Bong & others. (HCMP 1811 / 2024) application to discharge Mareva injunction sought by the SFC (led by Jose-Antonio Maurellet SC, with Lau Ka Kin)
  • Sze Ivis v. Yu Kwai Wa & others (HCA 2901/2018) – trial; represent defendant over alleged oral agreement concerning PRC land (ongoing) (led by Anson Wong SC)

Arbitration 

  • HKIAC Arbitration: Represent a major PRC enterprise in resisting urgent relief and asset preservation orders (led by William Wong SC)
