Des Voeux Chambers is delighted to welcome Dr. Min Kyung Kim, former Judge of the Judiciary of the Republic of Korea joining as our neutral member.
Dr. Kim began her judicial career in Korea in 2010, presiding over high-profile civil, commercial, and criminal cases and authoring more than 3,100 judgments. Her main expertise is in international and cross-border commercial disputes, including arbitration, as she served on the International Commercial List at the Seoul Central Court. Beyond the bench, Dr. Kim has played an active role in shaping Korean arbitration law. She participated in the amendment of the Korean Arbitration Act and co-authored Korean judiciary’s Practice Guide on Arbitration-related Cases (Supreme Court of Korea, 2018). Her forthcoming work includes Commentaries on the Korean Arbitration Act (Thomson Reuters, 2026). In academia, Dr. Kim has published widely in reputable journals, speaks regularly at international conferences, and teaches international arbitration and litigation at City University of Hong Kong and other leading universities across Asia.
