Former Justice of Hong Kong Judiciary Bebe PY Chu joins DVC as its First Neutral Member

Des Voeux Chambers is delighted to welcome Bebe Pui Ying Chu, SBS, the Former Justice at Hong Kong Judiciary joining as our first neutral member.

Bebe brings a wealth of experience from her recent retirement as a key member of the judiciary in Hong Kong. With over 20 years of expertise in family law, she served as a judge of the Family Court, HKSAR, and later as the Principal Family Court Judge. Apart from her expertise in family law Bebe is highly regarded for her knowledge in legal areas such as contract, property and land, trust, probate and inheritance. She was appointed a member of The International Hague Network of Judges in relation to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and has also sat as an additional judge of the Court of Appeal. Bebe is also on the Roll of Honour of The Law Society of Hong Kong.

DVC’s List of Neutral consists of experts in resolving disputes in a neutral role through mediation, arbitration, adjudication, private judging, or any other form of alternative dispute resolution, without practising as barristers.

Members of the List of Neutrals are each an independent professional, and does not carry on practice as barristers or advocates.

We have full confidence that Bebe will make an invaluable addition as the Chambers’ Neutral member, and her contributions will empower Hong Kong’s capabilities in the arena of dispute resolution in the region.
