Co-organised by the Faculty of Law and the School of Chinese at the University of Hong Kong, “The Luminary Cup: 2026 Chinese Mooting Competition” was successfully held on 10 January 2026.

This competition brought together law students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, and the University of Hong Kong.  Participants faced off a rigorous test of skill, with preparation of written submissions and delivery of oral arguments all done in Chinese.

Martin Lau was invited to sit as one of the judges in the competition.
