Sabrina Ho Invited to Moderate Thematic Breakout Session at the 11th Belt and Road Summit GoGlobal Chapter

The 11th Belt and Road Summit, co-organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), opened yesterday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai. Under the theme Advancing High-Quality Development • Embarking on a New Journey, the Summit brought together more than 100 government officials, business leaders and professionals jointly explore new opportunities in high-quality Belt and Road development.

Sabrina Ho was invited to moderate the thematic breakout session, Hong Kong: Super Connector • World-Class Springboard – Professional Services Empowering Global Expansion, co-organised by the HKTDC and the Department of Justice of the HKSAR Government.

The session featured welcome remarks by Mr Paul Lam SC, Secretary for Justice of the HKSAR Government, followed by a keynote address by Mr Umiraliyev Zhandos Zhanibekovich, First Deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan.

Drawing on her extensive cross-border legal experience, Sabrina joined panellists Mr David Blumental, Head of Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Construction, Asia, Simmons & Simmons, and Mr Yu Weifeng, Vice President of the Belt and Road International Legal Services Association, in discussing the unique role of the Hong Kong legal profession in supporting global business expansion, including in cross-border compliance, dispute resolution and regional regulatory adaptation.
