Stephanie Wong co-authored the Practice Note on the Competition–IP Interface to Thomson Reuters Practical Law Global & Asia

12 Feb 2026

Stephanie Wong of Des Voeux Chambers co-authored a Practice Note titled “Competition-IP Interface: Transactions, Collaboration, and Unilateral Conduct (Hong Kong)” for Thomson Reuter Practice Law.

Co-authored with Associate Professor Julian Nowag of The University of Hong Kong and Lund University, this practice note explores the interface between competition law and IP law in Hong Kong. It discusses mergers and acquisitions, licensing, collaboration, unilateral conduct, and other arrangements relating to the commercialisation of IP. This offers practical insights to help lawyers and in-house counsel manage the legal risks commonly associated with the transfer and use of IP.

This practice note forms part of Practical Law’s Global content, which is aimed at lawyers working on cross-border matters.  It is also a piece for the launch for Practical Law Asia in 2025.

We are grateful to Stephanie for sharing her expertise in this valuable article. Her contribution reflects DVC’s ongoing commitment to advancing legal knowledge in Hong Kong and beyond.
