The third session of the WIA Coffee Roulette 2025 series—which aims to provide a platform for worldwide arbitration practitioners to connect—took place yesterday at HKIAC, with many participants joining virtually from across the globe.
This engaging hybrid event featured Ms. Bebe Chu SBS, Former Justice of the Court of First Instance, High Court HKSAR, and the first member on the List of Neutrals at Des Voeux Chambers. The session was moderated by Connie Lee, Barrister at Des Voeux Chambers and WIA Executive Committee Member.
In a candid and cozy discussion, Bebe reflected on her distinguished legal career—from her early days as a solicitor to her time on the Bench. She also provided invaluable guidance on the dos and don’ts before a tribunal or a mediator as well as her takeaways regarding the effective use of facilitative and evaluative mediations.
