A Bar Scholar, Kevin joined chambers upon completion of his pupillage with Mr. Jenkin Suen SC, Mr. Christopher Chain SC, Mr. John Hui, and Mr. Jonathan Ah-weng. He has a broad civil and commercial practice spanning all levels of Court, and he regularly handles bankruptcy & insolvency, company law, commercial fraud and debt enforcement / asset-recovery, and public law matters. He is also developing an active practice in arbitration and in employment-related matters.
Kevin also has a keen interest in international and comparative law. He consulted for the Department of Justice in the process of Hong Kong’s accession to the Vienna Convention on the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Further, in 2023, he was seconded to the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT) in Rome as a Legal Officer.
Kevin’s other appointments include sitting as a Deputy Presiding Officer at the Labour Tribunal (2025) and Deputy Adjudicator at the Small Claims Tribunal (2024), stints on the Bar Association’s Young Barristers Committee and International Law Committee, and appointments as part-time tutor and moot coach at the University of Hong Kong (until 2025).
Prior to joining chambers, Kevin graduated with first-class LLB and BBA (Law) degrees from the University of Hong Kong, and also obtained his LLM (first-class in all subjects and first-class overall) from the University of Cambridge.
