Des Voeux Chambers is delighted to announce that both pupils – Phoebe Lee and Stephy Lo– have accepted offers to join Chambers as tenants, following successful completion of their pupillages.

Phoebe is a Bar Scholar. She graduated with First Class Honours in her LLB from the London School of Economics, where she received the Dean’s Medal for Excellence Under Difficult Circumstances. She obtained the PCLL at the University of Hong Kong, then went on to study the LLM at the University of Cambridge, during which she was awarded the DVC Harry Liu Postgraduate Scholarship.
Phoebe has also achieved distinction in multiple international moots, including the Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot (European Champion), Oxford International IP Moot (Best Written Submissions), Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and LSE Human Rights Moot (1st runner up).
During her limited practice, Phoebe has already appeared in different levels of Court, including the Court of Appeal, the High Court (as a sole advocate) and the Family Court (as a sole advocate).
Stephy Lo

Stephy graduated first in her class from the University of Hong Kong with Bachelor of Social Sciences (Government & Laws) and Bachelor of Laws. She then read the BCL at the University of Oxford, where she graduated with Distinction, followed by the PCLL at the University of Hong Kong.
During her studies, she received multiple scholarships in recognition of her academic achievements, including the Sir Oswald Cheung Memorial Fund PCLL Scholarship, the DVC Harry Liu Postgraduate Scholarship, and the DVC Undergraduate Scholarship. As an undergraduate at the University of Hong Kong and a visiting student at the University of Oxford, she also represented both universities in national and international moots.
During her limited practice, Stephy has already appeared in the High Court as a sole advocate (including for matters involving reciprocal enforcement of Mainland judgments, winding up proceedings, shareholders’ disputes and taxation).
